This update adds various quality of life features:

  • Map Inspector: A mouse-over tool-tip has been in the game for some time, but no gamepad equivalent. You can now use I,J,K,L or the right gamepad analog stick to move a spyglass over other pieces. This also moves the camera, letting you look at areas that are offscreen. Similarly, ability to drag the map with your mouse has been added.
  • Random Puzzle: A "?" icon is added to the map after the first few levels are unlocked. This selects a random uncompleted map for your convenience.
  • Dark dungeon update: The room size has been reduced from 15 to 13 for fewer quiet spots. Treasure room has been revised so it doesn't fail to spawn.
  • And I forgot to mention in the last update that food-per-kill has been raised from 8 to 12. The intent with food is to encourage aggression and efficiency. But low rewards force one to have binges - reducing efficiency. This change affects a lot of things, but because food is a tone setting mechanic it should be a subtle but positive change.

Additionally, in Edit Mode you may find a world-node in the puzzle map where a large tree of levels is placed with a funny tree symbol at its base. This is ground work for tree-dungeon-puzzles. Which coincidentally allows you to make and test such puzzles yourself.
