I received some feedback regarding weapons and levels and chose to implement some solutions. Then I found some bugs that needed fixing.

  • The dark ceiling now displays warning edge when you get close enough to prompt slime spawning. Slimes and ghost also have an extra spawning effect to highlight where they're coming in.
  • Coins on all chunks have been moved into areas threatened by mobs. I was told it was easier to avoid mobs than kill them and that's fairly true. I don't want mobs to give xp because it turns every level into a cleaning task, but I can give you reasons to end their lives.
  • Most level chunks are now taller, following a loose rule that the entry point should be spacious and only get cramped the deeper you go into that chunk.
  • Altars now show the "tier" of shot they hold, 1 particle per tier for a total of 6 (for now). A lot of tier 1 shots can be skipped if you have a tier 2 alternative - now it's easier to make that call. This also helps warn the player a shot may look underwhelming but the developer knows it's OP.
  • Falling crawlers have had their gravity reduced, making it less likely for them to gank you.
  • ROD now accelerates to full speed, making it easier to ride.
  • Drop blocks now trigger more reliably.
  • More chunks and other bug fixes.
