Played on stream and was completely surprised. I've never played a game like this before (not because there's few of them but because I'm a bit sheltered) so this was a really good introduction for me (especially since I ended up playing Tiny Thief after it, which was very similar). IT'S DEFINITELY CHALLENGING. I'm not so good at puzzle games, though, so maybe it's just me. Thanks for the experience and for being gentle on introducing me to turn-based roguelikes.
(Give it a minute to load, it's 6mb. This is version 1.2, the 7DRL builds are linked below.)
Gob! is a turn-based shoot-em-up, made for the 7 day roguelike challenge: 7DRL 2017. Your quest is to get a high score.
Use W,A,S,D to shoot. Cursor keys to move. Space bar to wait. 1-7 equips / unequips spells to your shots (they activate in the sequence you equip them).
There's sort-of-mouse-controls: click to move to an empty square, or shoot an occupied one. Right click to shoot in a direction. Click on yourself to wait. It didn't like my graphics tablet - watch out for that (or just use keys).
Being made for a game jam, it is what it is - I'm working on a larger scope version which I will upload to another page.
